「我的飯店附近有兩個麥當勞。」英文怎麼講？簡單吧！偏偏...
X Near my hotel have two McDonald’s.
掉進了「★有★陷阱」！
原則是：
→很多中文說「有」的地方，英文會說 there is 或 there are.
√ Near my hotel there are two McDonald’s.

上面那句是我學生說的。這也是！
學生：「我記得★有★人預料到。」偏偏說：
X I remember, have a person who predicted it.
哎！
√ I remember, ★there was★ a person who predicted it.

這也是！學生去海邊，要說「那裡★有★一個很帥的救生員。」反而說：
X There have a handsome lifeguard.
哎！
√ ★There is★ a handsome lifeguard there.
注意，前面的 there is 就等於中文的「有」。後面的 there 才是「那裡」的意思。

這應該是你「知道」的東西。但光知道就不夠！英文不只是「知道」，還要「說到」，練習說對才會習慣說對！
